UW Sea Grant supports scientific research, education and outreach to foster the wise use, conservation and sustainable development of Great Lakes and coastal resources. Great examples of UW Sea Grant funding include research resulting in a viral hemorrhagic septicemia diagnostic test for fish and research that developed a metabolism model to predict how invasive Dreissenid mussels affect Lake Michigan. UW Sea Grant continues to develop collaborative relationships for coastal planning and creating partnerships for the regional Lake Sturgeon Bowl to encourage future marine scientists. The report also includes staff, partners, awards, publications and a budget overview.
