These waterproof dive guides feature site maps, schematics, diving information, ship data and histories for seven of Wisconsin’s Lake Michigan shipwrecks: Fleetwing, Francis Hinton, Frank O’Connor, Hetty Taylor, Louisiana, Niagara and Pilot Island. The result of hundreds of hours of archaeological and historical research conducted by the Wisconsin Historical Society, these guides are designed to go with you on your dives or be read in the comfort of your home.
Wisconsin residents can check out shipwrecks books from Wisconsin’s Water Library Great Lakes Shipwrecks Collection.
UW Sea Grant is no longer selling dive guides. However, you may be able to obtain them from Tamara Thomsen, WI Historical Society Underwater Archaeology (tamara.thomsen@wisconsinhistory.org or 608-221-5909).
