This UW Sea Grant Biennial Report highlights our activities and research during 2004-06. The report contains information on projects such as constructing marinas to shelter boats, birds, fish and frogs; resurrecting the lost islands of Green Bay; saving sedges under seige from invasive plants; managing the pungent cladophora algae; creating a software program to identify Wisconsin fish; investigating the accelerated corrosion of harbor steel; helping fish farms grow; developing a Wisconsin water library for kids; using smart growth for coastal planning; building the Wisconsin maritime history trail; and more.
UW Sea Grant is a statewide program of research, outreach and education for the protection and sustainable use of our Great Lakes, coastal and ocean resources. It is one of 30 Sea Grant programs operating in every Great Lakes and coastal state.
